”WaterWorks,” Partnership of PianoArts and Discovery World Science and Technology Museum

Posted on: November 17th, 2018

For the 2018-19 school year, PianoArts will partner with Discovery World Museum of Science and Technology to present ”WaterWorks.” This integrated science and performance project is designed to inspire students and community audiences to explore the creative connections of music and fresh water science, a subject of great importance locally as Milwaukee has established itself internationally as a Freshwater Research Center.

Students, living on the shores of Lake Michigan, one of the world’s great bodies of fresh water, have unparalleled opportunities to immerse themselves in the study of this life force. ”WaterWorks” will reach more than 1,500 people, primarily 800 grade five Milwaukee Public School students. In-school programs will begin in January. Concerts will be held in March and April.
