Aristo Sham returns to the Wilson Center on October 23

Returning to the stage of the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts on Sunday, October 23 at 2:00 p.m. will be Aristo Sham, first place prize winner in the PianoArts 2016 North American Competition.

A twenty-year old virtuoso pianist who enjoys treating audiences to a mix of well-loved classics and exciting less-familiar works, his concert will feature compositions by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Heitor Villa-Lobos, Bohuslav Martinu, Robert Schumann, and Sergei Prokofiev. Born in Hong Kong, Aristo Sham was introduced to the piano at the age of three. Now a sophomore at both Harvard University and the New England Conservatory of Music, Mr. Sham already enjoys an amazing, active concert career. He has performed on five continents in countries ranging from Singapore and Argentina to Slovenia and Morocco. Special performances include those for Prince Andrew at Windsor Castle, Prince Charles and Camilla, the Duchess of York, and the Queen of Belgium and President Hu of China on their respective visits to Hong Kong.

Collaborations with orchestras include the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, English Chamber Orchestra, Orchestra at Temple Square in Salt Lake City, the Minnesota Orchestra, and the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra during the PianoArts 2016 North American Competition.
